Somewhere – Blind Restaurant

4 Aug

The concept of Dans Le Noir, a blind restaurant in Clerkenwell, is simple; by dining in complete darkness the act of eating becomes a sensorial, social and very human experience. Being unable to see the food in front of you, our sense of taste and smell are heightened and the dish becomes a totally different and enjoyable experience. But don’t expect to know what you are eating! Dans Le Noir serves a selection of four ‘surprise’ menus that can be catered to your dietary requirements. There’s a special surprise menu for fish and seafood lovers too which we’ll sure will delight the senses! You are sat at a table with other diners who you can then meet and talk to in a darkness that takes away any shyness you might usually feel in social situations and makes the meal a pleasant and social event where you can even meet new friends!

For more information about Dans Le Noir visit their website at london.danslenoir.com where you can read more about the structure of the evening and how to reserve yourself a space. There’s also a £6 off voucher which you can download and print at home and bring along!
